Privacy & Data Governance Policy

Effective July 15, 2026. This document details how Simsak protects creator intellectual property, CRM databases, and transaction files.

1. Introduction & Core Promise

At Simsak ("we," "our," or "us"), your trust and privacy are foundational. This policy governs how we collect, store, process, and protect your data when you visit our website at simsak.co or use the Simsak web application.

Unlike traditional platforms, we operate under a strict Zero-Monetization-of-Your-Data policy. We build tools that empower creators, and we believe your creative work and customer relationships belong entirely to you.

2. Intellectual Property & Content Ownership

We respect creative ownership. When you upload, publish, or stream content on Simsak—including courses, videos, certificates, PDF templates, audio tracks, or custom page structures—you retain 100% of your ownership and intellectual property (IP) rights.

Creator Rights

You hold full copyright and title. We do not claim any proprietary interest in your creations.

Hosting License

Simsak is only licensed to stream and deliver files to your buyers on your behalf. This license ends instantly if you delete your files.

3. Customer Database & CRM Data Ownership

Every time a customer purchases a product, books a calendar slot, or gifts a course on your portal, a customer profile is created in your built-in CRM database.

  • Exclusive Ownership: Customer records belong entirely to the creator. Simsak acts solely as a data processor.
  • Anti-Monetization: We will never sell, lease, or distribute your customer list to other creators or advertisers.
  • Full Portability: You can export your entire contact list and sales records (via CSV/JSON) at any time.

4. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum data required to execute payment virtual accounts, deliver products, and support creator academies:

  • Account Data: Contact details (name, email address, timezone) created during signup via Firebase Authentication.
  • Financial Credentials: Bank account numbers and virtual account references linked via Flutterwave to facilitate payouts.
  • Customer & Transaction Records: Transaction logs, booking schedules, redemption keys, and course completion records.

5. Google Calendar API Integration

To enable real-time scheduling slots and prevent timezone conflicts, creators can optionally link their Google Calendar accounts.

  • Availability Check: We read calendar events strictly to verify availability. We do not download or store details of your personal/private events.
  • Automatic Scheduling: We create calendar events for new bookings and automatically generate secure Google Meet links.
  • Security: Google OAuth credentials are encrypted in transit and at rest using AES-256 encryption. You can disconnect calendar access at any time.

6. Third-Party Service Providers

To ensure high performance and global compliance, we share data only with the following sub-processors:

7. Intellectual Property Protection & DMCA Takedowns

We take intellectual property theft very seriously. If you believe your copyrighted materials have been hosted or sold on Simsak without your authorization, please email a formal DMCA Notice or IP Infringement report to legal@simsak.co including the product URL, proof of ownership, and your contact info. We will disable access to infringing materials within 24–48 hours.

8. GDPR, CCPA, and NDPR Compliance

We are committed to global data rights standards (including GDPR, CCPA, and the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation - NDPR):

  • Right of Access & Portability: Download your database data at any time from your settings panel.
  • Right of Deletion (To be Forgotten): Request complete deletion of your account, associated files, and customer lists.
  • DPO Officer: Contact support@simsak.co for formal data reviews.
